Product Dimensions

The Lloyd Instruments TAPLUS Series digital material testing machine is ideal for food testing and texture analysis up to 225 lbf (1 kN). It is ideal for the lab or production environment. The TAPLUS tester uses interchangeable XLC Series loadcells for load measurement.

The TAPLUS features and innovative design that maximizes working space and simplifies operation and maintenance. The large work area and deep 7 inch (175mm) throat accommodates large specimens and can be supplied with a standard universal eye end, stainless steel drip tray, base table and 0.5-inch cylinder probe. An impressive 0.05 to 1270mm/min (0.002 to 50 in/min) crosshead speed makes it ideal for difficult applications including creep tests or constant load holding tests. The machine includes standard pass/fail capabilities and statistics.

The TAPLUS displays load and extension information on a high visibility LCD console with integral membrane keypad. The machine’s intuitive firmware displays prompts and menus that guide the user through setup, operation and maintenance functions. Passwords may be used to limit functions to authorized users. Information can be displayed in multiple languages including English, French, German, Italian and Danish.

The TAPLUS can be used to test a variety of bakery, confectionery, dairy, cereals, dough, pasta and meat products and used to determine texture analysis characteristics including:

  • Adhesiveness
  • Brittleness
  • Chewiness
  • Cohesiveness
